Snack List for Type 2 Diabetics

Here is an easy snack list for those with type 2 diabetes. It is also a great snack list for those with type 1, pre diabetes, gestational diabetes, or even if you don’t have diabetes! It is so important to keep your blood sugar levels stable throughout the day. This will help your hormones stay stable, and your mood stable! We all want that, don’t we? 🙂

Make sure that you don’t eat a carbohydrate alone when eating a meal or a snack. It is very important to eat fat with it to help “buffer” the effect of the carbohydrate. It is also important to eat protein with it if you need a boost in your metabolism. Our body can only use 30-40 grams of protein per meal, the rest is turned to glucose to store as glycogen or fat! That is why it is so important to also spread protein throughout the day. So, it is best to eat a carbohydrate, fat and protein every time you eat a meal or snack. How awesome is that? 🙂
